Ordering Numbers in Standard Form
- Standard form is used to show how large or small a number is
- The power of ten in standard form helps determine the size of the number
- The power of ten is sometimes called the order of magnitude
- Numbers in standard form can be ordered by the size of their indices and coefficients
- In the example, the powers of ten are ordered from smallest to largest
- The numbers are then written in order using their powers of ten
- The numbers with the same power of ten are ordered by their coefficients
- The final answer is the numbers written in standard form from smallest to largest
