- A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite sides parallel to each other
- Each pair of parallel sides are equal in length
- Angles at opposite vertices are equal
- Squares and rectangles are special types of parallelograms
- The angles x and y of a parallelogram can be calculated using the properties of a parallelogram
- A rhombus is a specific type of parallelogram with four equal sides
- All four sides of a rhombus are the same length
- Both pairs of opposite sides in a rhombus are parallel
- Both pairs of opposite angles in a rhombus are equal to each other
