  • To calculate the surface area of a pyramid, calculate the area of each face and add them up
  • For a regular tetrahedron, calculate the area of one triangle and multiply by four
  • For a pyramid with an irregular base, calculate the area of each triangular face individually
  • To calculate the surface area of a pyramid, calculate the area of the base and the area of the triangular faces separately
  • In the example of a square based pyramid, the area of the base is 25 cm^2 and the area of each triangular face is 25 cm^2
  • Multiply the area of one triangular face by the number of triangular faces and add it to the area of the base to get the total surface area of the pyramid, which is 125 cm^2
