  • A sample can give two overlapping sets of data
  • Two-way frequency tables show how often an item matches both descriptions from two overlapping data sets
  • Total number of items for one data set can be found by adding up the frequencies in a row or column
  • Example: A sample of 50 households asked about number of people and type of property
  • Calculate the number of people living in a household of 4 or more people: 22 people in total.
