  • The affirmative command is used to give commands.
  • For regular verbs, the command form is the 3rd person singular of the present indicative. In Spanish, you use this when speaking to:
    • One person (tú) [informal]
    • A group of people (vosotros/as) [informal]

-ar hablar habla hablad
-er comer come comed
-ir vivir vive vivid
    • ¡Habla más despacio! (Speak more slowly!)
    • ¡Habla con tu profesor! (Talk to your teacher!)
    • ¡Come tus verduras! (Eat your vegetables!)
    • ¡Vive tu vida con alegría! (Live your life with joy!)
    • ¡Vive el momento! (Live the moment!)

    • ¡Sé valiente! (Be brave!)
    • ¡Ve a casa! (Go home!)
    • ¡Ten cuidado! (Be careful! / Have caution!)
    • ¡Ven aquí! (Come here!)
    • ¡Haz la tarea! (Do the homework!) 
    • ¡Di la verdad! (Tell the truth!)
    • ¡Pon la mesa! (Set the table!)
    • ¡Sal de la habitación! (Leave the room!)
