  • Split binary into groups of 4 bits: 
  • E.g. 11111111 = FF1111 = 15 (8+4+2+1), repeated → 15, 15 = FF
  • E.g. 10100011 = A31010 = 10 (8+0+2+0), 0011 = 3 (0+0+2+1) → 10,3 = A3.
