Essay Three

This question calls upon you to discuss a group of characters (read: “women” meaning plural! Don’t only talk about Desdemona!). There are three important female characters in the play: Desdemona, Emilia, and Bianca. For this essay, you should consider how the male characters treat them differently, as well as how they treat each other. Most students would overlook how the women treat each other, and this can serve to distinguish your response from the rest of your cohort.
