  • Tourism vs. Farming: tourists may damage walls, trample crops, or disturb livestock, while farmers may restrict access to land, frustrating tourists.
  • Tourism vs. Quarrying: quarrying damages the landscape, reducing its appeal to tourists. Noise and dust from quarries may disturb visitors.
  • Tourism vs. Conservation: overcrowding and footpath erosion damage fragile environments. Litter and pollution harm wildlife and habitats.
  • Farming vs. Conservation: overgrazing by sheep can reduce biodiversity and harm ecosystems. Conservationists may want to restore ecosystems and biodiversity, which can conflict with farming practices.
  • Development vs. Conservation: building infrastructure (e.g. roads, car parks) for tourism can harm natural habitats. Renewable energy projects (e.g. wind farms) may conflict with preserving the area’s natural beauty.
