  • Interactionism: focuses on micro-level interactions and the social construction of meaning.
    • 👤 Becker (1963): deviance is created through moral labelling. Labels can lead to self-fulfilling prophecies (e.g. ‘model student’ vs. ‘problem student’).
    • 👤 Goffman (1956): social life as a performance, with impression management shaping how others see us.
